Dr. Urfi Sulaiman was born and brought up in the North of England and qualified as a doctor from the University of Leeds in 1992. He was a partner in an inner-city Leeds practice for 16 years until he migrated to Alberta for a better work-life balance. He is married for 25 years and has 3 grown-up children.

He has an interest in men's health, mental health, and cardiovascular disease. He has a passion for high-quality health care. He also trained residents for 6 years in the UK. Since moving to Calgary, he has been able to develop an interest in preventative health to help avoid problems escalate to diseases.

"Outside of work, I enjoy technology, motoring, and reading crime novels. Being so close to the beautiful mountains has re-kindled my love for hiking and outdoors even when it's freezing! The amazing sunshine and wide, open skies make it a joy to be in Calgary every day."
